A Little Info About Fume Blanc

Fume Blanc wine review
Pronunciation: (fumay blahnk)

It’s said that truth is stranger than fiction, and indeed Robert Mondavi created a bit of a legend for himself when he coined the term "Fume Blanc" in 1968. Essentially Sauvignon Blanc aged in oak (rather than stainless steel), Fume Blanc is a crisp and slightly smoky white wine. Citrus flavors of grapefruit are common in Fume Blanc, as well as some grassy and mineral flavors.
