A Little Info About Rosé
Pronunciation: (row-ZAY)
There are those people in all walks of life that don't want to commit to one side or the other and prefer to walk the middle of the road. Winemakers are no exception, and throughout years of alchemy and experimentation it became clear that a wine need not be 'white' or 'red' - it can be pink, or rose. Taking elements from both worlds, a rose is a red wine that was not allowed to turn completely red in the winemaking process. Rose wines lack the tannins that comprise a red wine so they are light bodied, crisp, and often very sweet and refreshing.
