A Little Info About Malbec

Malbec wine review
Pronunciation: (MAHL-beck)

If you asked the average wine drinker five years ago for an opinion of Malbec wines you'd probably elicit a blank stare. Malbec still suffers a bit of a popularity problem here in North America, but there's a definite trend of late in Malbec's favor. A lot of quality Malbec wines originate in South America, where Chilean and Argentinean winemakers are producing the grape in huge numbers.

Malbecs tend to be very deep in color and exhibit just a bit of spice on the tongue. It's a robust wine, rich in tannins, and can hold its own paired with meaty dishes and barbecue.
