A Little Info About Carmenere
Pronunciation: (car-men-YEHR)
Carmenere wines typically originate in Chile, Argentina, Spain and Portugal. Similar to Merlot in mouth feel and flavor, Carmenere sets itself apart with a more velvety texture, earthy qualities and a note of spice not found in Merlots. While not among the most popular wines in North America, Carmenere may see growth similar to Malbec's recent climb.
