Winemaker's Comments: 2003 Peju Napa Valley Merlot
Bright red color with aromas of red currant, vanilla, clove, raspberry, bing cherry, and freshly crushed sage. This Merlot is suave and finely textured, round and voluminous on the palate - with rich flavors of vanilla bean, cherry and currant. The lengthy finish has a creamy texture, and is accented by well developed tannins.

Holy Merlot!
We were told that this is the J-Lo of Merlots, because it has lots of junk in the trunk... ummm... ok? Weird reference, quite frankly, it was a little uncomfortable to listen to the awkward explanation. But once I got a taste of this beauty, all awkwardness was forgotten. Being a merlot lover, I really enjoyed this one. It was bold and robust. The flavors just popped in your mouth. If you like merlots, I would definitely give this one a try. If you're not sure about the merlot yet, I would stay away for awhile until you find your love for this grape.

A nice pleasant start of rubbing alcohol is a great first impression on this gasoline alternative. Best served with a chaser of E-85
