Winemaker's Comments: 2003 Peju Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The wine has deep, red cherry and raspberry hues, with shades of purple. Aromas of bing cherry, vanilla, clove, blackberry, black pepper, creme de cassis, toast, roasted coffee, fresh herbs and green olive. On the palate it’s big, rich and round followed by a very good length on the finish. It displays flavors of black cherry, raspberry accented with toast and campfire notes. It has a nice richness, and a lively acidity. The finish is lengthy; displaying soft supple texture with nicely integrated barrel tannins prolonging the length of the finish.

Blackberry, plum and cherry, dry finish. Great complexity with a spiciness that does not distract.

This wine is breath taking. Mostly because when you smell it, you start choking. A nice plastic cement aroma pours out from this full-bodied wine leaving your palate demolished and ruined. A great charcoal and pork rind finish caps off this silent assassin.
