Winemaker's Comments: 2002 Blackstone Sonoma County Syrah
Big and bold and lively in the mouth with a chewy structure. This Syrah is not for the faint of heart! The wine has pleasing aromas of dark berry fruit, red and white peppercorns and hints of the forest floor. On the palate it has rich, mouth-filling flavors of berry and spice. Enjoy this robust, powerful wine with grilled sirloin, spare ribs and other hearty dishes.

Great wine for the price, not overwhelming in spice or tannins. Solid taste and nose with solid fruit flavor.

An earthy aroma massages your senses. A fantastic follow up of black licorice leaves you hoping for a happy ending. Unfortunately, this one leaves you hanging like a prude on a first date.
