Winemaker's Comments: 2001 Chateau St. Jean Sonoma County Reserve Merlot
Heady aromas of lavender, dried herbs and blackberries lead into a big, rich mouth coating entry. Highly structured and well balanced, chewy tannins surround layers of mocha, plum and sweet oak that last throughout a long finish.

Worthwhile Luxury
Weighing in at nearly $100 a bottle, this reserve Merlot had big shoes to fill before the cork was ever popped. Luckily for all parties involved we weren't the slightest bit disappointed. I you're looking to splurge on a great Sonoma Merlot, contact CSJ. It's big, bold, and has layers of flavor to offer.
