Winemaker's Comments: 2003 Black Mountain Vineyard California Fat Cat Cabernet Sauvignon
At the heart of California exists a microclimate which creates ideal conditions for growing several fine grape varieties. These grapes, which we found to be excellent for our Black Mountain Fat Cat Cabernet Sauvignon, came from diverse terrain with deep manzanita loam volcanic soil. After harvesting, this wine had some skin contact to develop its intense color and charactistic cabernet charater. This tightly structured red wine was then aged until it reached its optimum bouquet and complexity. You will find our Black Mountain Fat Cat Cabernet Sauvignon to be quite enjoyable now, but it will benefit from cellaring for five years or more.

Dries out the mouth, and more sour than sweet. Don’t drink if you are thirsty.
