Winemaker's Comments: 2004 Zaca Mesa Chardonnay
The wine has ripe apple, pear and banana flavors that combine with toasty oak and vanilla from ten months of barrel aging. This wine will pair well with butternut squash risotto or grilled salmon over the next several years.

Floating Cork Wine Review & Rating By Sarah O'Brien |

Recently "uncorked", this new edition to the Zaca Mesa Chardonnay family is tame yet versatile. I would share this wine with friends with a broad-base of backgrounds. A crowd-pleaser it is. The mild vanilla flavor will be able to sooth many palates without causing controversy. I would be pleased to find this wine served with an array of cheeses.
