Winemaker's Comments: 2004 Blackstone Monterey County Riesling
The 2005 Blackstone Monterey County Riesling is a delightful wine with a hint of sweetness, enticing fruit flavors and a long finish. The fruit aromas are lifted by a touch of natural acidity. The wine is delicate, fresh and elegant with fresh flavors of sweet fruit.
Although this Riesling has a touch of residual sugar, the balancing acidity makes this wine a great complement to baked ham and chicken roasted with herbs. The distinct forward aromatic and flavor characters will also match nicely with spicy Asian cuisine, and desserts such as fresh fruit tarts or crisps. Serve only lightly chilled.
