Winemaker's Comments: 2005 Carr Vineyards & Winery Turner Vineyard Pinot Noir
Turner Vineyard is located in the Santa Rita Hills appellation of Santa Barbara County. Planted in 2000 by Ryan Carr, the vineyard has fifteen acres of Pinot Noir, three acres of Pinot Gris, and three acres of Syrah. The 2005 harvest was only 1.5 tons to the acre and each vine had just a few of the most beautiful small, tight clusters on it. This young vineyard produced a delicate wine that is soft and smooth with hardy aromas.
