Winery Lake Vineyard is nestled in the rolling hills of the Carneros region. The cool climate and unique soils of this vineyard provide an ideal environment for growing Merlot grapes. Winery Lake Merlot is known for its intense black cherry aroma and complex depth of flavors that complement a wide range of foods.

As Expected... Excellent
We found this bottle at Sterling Vineyards during an unexpected cellar sale. Sterling is perhaps my favorite producer of (affordable) Merlots so it came as no surprise that when we cracked the cork on this beauty it was a veleveteen delight. Odds are the \'97 is fading into the sunset by now, but if you happen upon a Winery Lake label you should buy, then quickly consume it to enjoy the delicious Merlot joy inside.
