Winemaker's Comments: 2005 Sunstone Pinot Grigio
The 2005 Pinot Grigio is light straw in color. Upon pouring in the glass aromas of lemon, lime and flint are immediately noticeable. A slight herbaciousness and mineral notes round out the nose. In the mouth this light bodied wine opens with tart citrus, lemon, grapefruit and a lingering lime flavor. With a crisp clean finish of tart apple this wine is a perfect companion for warm days and seasonal green salads with citrus wedges. Enjoyable now through 2008.

OCD
I don't know why I do it; brush my teeth and then drink orange juice. I don't do it all the time, only when I am feeling a bit OCD (I just can't stop myself!). Little did I know that Sunstone bottled that very flavor in the flinty, citrus-with-a-hint-of-Colgate 2005 Pinot Grigio. I can't say that I didn't like the flavor, but even if I didn't I am sure I couldn't stop myself from drinking it.
