Winemaker's Comments: 2005 Pepperwood Grove Pinot Grigio
Pale straw color with intense apricots and minerals, wet stone and subtle hazelnut notes. The palate is crisp with citrus acidity, which unfolds into chamomile, honeycomb and green apple tart.

Casual & Very Decent
Pepperwood Grove is home to some of my favorite “cheaper” wines (their Syrahs and Zinfandels in particular). Not the kind of wines I drink during my yellow-stained wife-beater t-shirt watching-Ultimate Fighting Championship days, but not the kind of wines I drink during my 3-piece suit, cruisin’-in-Limo-looking-for-blow days either. A nice, casual Hawaiian top, khaki-shorts-with-sandals wearing kind of winemaker. That said, their 2005 Pinot Grigio was very casual – a light, nearly tasteless wine that does not want to offend anybody. Decent. Very Decent.
