Wonderful example of French wine
Not quite in Rhone, yet not quite a part of Provence, Luberon is espeically 'foreign' to many American wine lovers even as French wines go. If the wines produced there are at all similar to this one from Domaine de la Citadelle I'm going to change my name to Gerard, buy a retro-chic bicycle (with wire basket) and move there. This is a terrific wine, full of just enough tannins to give it a great body and mouth feel, complemented by great fruit flavors and a mineral-earth overtone. Highly recommended! Go rent Amelie, draw a wire moustache on yourself and uncork one of these.
