Winemaker's Comments: 2005 Sanford Sauvignon Blanc
Sourced from two distinctive vineyards, each contributes complimentary characteristics. By using barrel fermentation, we were able to capture the bright varietal fruit, while adding body and length. This Sauvignon Blanc is bursting with grapefruit and melon, with a hint of herbal aromas. Seafood and semi-spicy Asian dishes are natural pairings with this versatile wine.

2005 Sanford Sauvignon Blanc
I'm pretty much 100% behind any ventures into complex wines and I really admire wineries willing to create something unique. That said, I like my Sauvignon Blanc crisp and fruity, and on that I will not compromise. This wine just didn't read like a Sav Blanc. Do with that what you will, but I found the intensity and body of this wine to be too distracting.
