Winemaker's Comments: 2005 Lincourt Santa Ynez Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Sourced from two distinct Santa Ynez Valley vineyards; the Alamo Pintado Vineyard as well as the La Pressa Vineyard. The majority (65%) of the blend came from Lincourt’s estate vineyard, Alamo Pintado. Comprised of 4 acres of Sauvignon Blanc, the historic, low-yielding vineyard was planted in 1973. The balance of the fruit was sourced from La Pressa Vineyard, a south-facing hillside property located 5 miles south of Lincourt’s estate. Our Santa Ynez Valley Sauvignon Blanc is always beautiful & dependable. The valley is cooled by summer morning fog and the fruit enjoys long hang time as a result. Golden straw-like in color, the wine offers aromas of distinct tropical notes of mango and passion fruit along with gooseberry and grapefruit, mingle with notes of vanilla and citrus in the bouquet. Drink now through 2007.
