2004 Blackjack Ranch "777" Edna Valley Pinot Noir
Yikes on the price. The texture was unique in that it felt tough and hearty rolling around in my mouth. I think it was the strong representation of prunes, a highly textured fruit that threw me off. I rather enjoyed the aroma, taste and texture of prunes but I didn't quite know what to do with the wine. What would I serve it with, would it be likeable enough to share? If it wasn't so costly I would have purchased a bottle to answer some of those tough questions but I just couldn't swing the price.
