Winemaker's Comments: 2002 Martin & Weyrich Edna Valley Chardonnay
Our 2002 Chardonnay grown in the cool Edna Valley region was barrel fermented and sur lie aged in predominantly new French oak barriques. Its aromas and flavors of pears, lemon meringue and key lime pie are finished in a sweet and spicy toasted oak framework.

2002 Martin & Weyrich Chardonnay
Like Steven Seagal in Executive Decision, this wine starts with a hint that it might be bad, but that flavor quickly and surprisingly disappears leaving behind a decent product. Good, medium body Chardonnay with light vanilla flavor and a lingering finish.
