Winemaker's Comments: 2004 Mosby Santa Barbara County Cortese Other White Wine
As the beautifully serene "Angel in the Wine Garden" (created by artist-friend Robert Scherer) depicts her majesty through color and light, so too does this elegant wine.
Crafted by artisan winemaker Bill Mosby, this wine radiates purity and spirit from the opulent golden fruit of the Cortese vine. It yields a crisp, clean aroma and creamy flavors of apricot and lime. The finish is dry. This wine is particularly enjoyable served with simply prepared mollusks from the sea, grilled fish or chicken dishes.

2004 MOSBY Cortese - in a word... unique.
Sweet and earthy with a thick and meaty mouth feel, this wine envelopes your tongue with deliciousness. The theme at Mosby is originality, and the Cortese is no exception to the rule. The nose on this wine is loamy and herbacious, and the flavor grows in a tandem performance of spicy and sweet. The Cortese is without a doubt one of the most unique wines being offered in the United States at the moment; if you happen upon a bottle wherever your wine journey takes you, buy it.
